Barbara Gordon’s Look in Absolute Batman #24 Revealed

During the DC Comics panel at the Heroes Convention held in Charlotte, North Carolina, the team behind Absolute Batman unveiled a brand-new look for a familiar face.

Writer Scott Snyder and artist Nick Dragotta, alongside editor-in-chief Marie Javins, showed the first image of Barbara Gordon as Absolute Batgirl in Absolute Batman #24, which is slated for release in September.

According to Dragotta, "Barbara is going to take the mission of avenging her father into her own hands. She has a great story; she’s going to become The Bat. By day, she works as a police officer, but at night she’ll have to evade the law to carry out her missions. But she still keeps her own essence... She’s almost more Batman than Batman himself."
