Known for shaping a generation of readers with stories about coming of age, love, and loss, Green returns to fiction with a plot set behind the scenes in Hollywood. The book follows Kai Laramie and Juniper Castillo, two young actors who land the leading roles in a highly anticipated biopic about the final years of Andy Warhol’s life.
After its premiere, the film becomes a cultural phenomenon, catapulting its stars to fame almost overnight. Even as they achieve the professional success they have always dreamed of, the two must deal with the impact of sudden fame and the unexpected feelings that emerge along the way.
According to the synopsis, the story explores the price of public exposure, the challenges of the entertainment industry, and the personal transformations brought on by fame. The book promises to bring together the sensitivity, humor, and emotional insight that have made John Green one of the most popular authors in contemporary young adult literature.
