Apple TV's 'Murderbot' Adds New Cast Members from Severance and More

The second season of Murderbot Diaries (Murderbot), Apple TV's science fiction series, has added an extensive list of new names to the cast. The additions include Steve Buscemi, Tramell Tillman (Severance), and Brendan Hunt (Ted Lasso), as well as Wanda Sykes, Michael Sheen, Bridget Everett, Katy O'Brian, Nicholas Braun, Topher Grace, and Patton Oswalt. Based on Martha Wells' literary saga, winner of the Hugo and Nebula awards, the production follows a security android that hacks its own system and gains free will. Played by Alexander Skarsgård, the protagonist tries to hide his capacity for independent thought while carrying out dangerous missions, even though he'd rather spend his time watching futuristic soap operas.
