Netflix has released a poster (below) and premiere date for Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, the fourth season of Ryan Murphy’s true-crime anthology series. It is set to premiere on September 17.

Everything you need to know about Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story
The fourth season will have eight episodes. This time, the series follows the story of Lizzie Borden, the woman accused of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe in 1892 in Massachusetts. Despite the brutality of the case, she was acquitted, becoming one of the best-known figures in American criminal history. The new season promises to revisit the crime with a tone of dark humor and a feminist approach, also exploring the alleged relationship between Lizzie and the maid Bridget Sullivan.
In the cast, Ella Beatty plays Lizzie Borden, while Vicky Krieps portrays Bridget Sullivan, the maid and the protagonist’s main ally. Charlie Hunnam plays businessman Andrew Borden, Lizzie’s father, and Rebecca Hall portrays Abby Borden, the character’s stepmother. The cast also includes Joey Pollari as John Morse, Jessica Barden as Nance O'Neill, Billie Lourd as Emma Borden, and Sarah Paulson as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in a special appearance.
The production is created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, with the first episode directed by Max Winkler.
