'DC Crime' Series Focused on Jimmy Olsen Casts Female Lead

The DC Studios series centered on Jimmy Olsen, played by Skyler Gisondo in the current cinematic universe, has added another name to its cast. Actress Mary Holland, from Blunt Talk, Ghosts, and the Netflix miniseries The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, will star in DC Crime as Sandra, according to Deadline.  

No further information about the character has been revealed. What is known so far is that the production will be a comedy in the style of The Office, mixed with crime mysteries, and its villain will be Gorilla Grodd. 

The hyperintelligent telepathic ape who seeks to dominate both the world of apes and that of humans will be played by Jimmy Trato.

DC Crime does not have a scheduled premiere date yet, but the main character will return in the Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow, which will be released in theaters in 2027.

After grossing more than $610 million and earning a strong critical reception, Superman will get a sequel in July 2027 called Man of Tomorrow. Once again written and directed by James Gunn, the film will bring back David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. 

In addition to them, the Justice Gang is expected to return as well, with Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, reprising their heroic roles.
