Although no information regarding cast, plot or other details have been released yet, Murphy and other cast members have been dropping hints for the last two months.

The director had previously revealed that conversations with some original cast members had already started, but no names were put on the table. "I have been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. [...] They all had a lot of questions, but they were all very enthusiastic about the idea", said Murphy during the premiere for American Horror Story season 13,

It's no secret that the backstage for the popular musical show had its issues, with ongoing complaints about Murphy's directing style and strained relationships due to an alleged favoritism towards Lea Michele, a common fear that is apparently present again between discussions into coming back to a revival.

Actors such as Chris Colfer and Dianna Agron, who respectively played Kurt Hummel and Quinn Fabray on the show, were frequently tied to misunderstandings with Murphy, that ended up being reflected on their characters throughout the seasons.

Sources told TMZ that at least "some" of the actors weren't responding to the showrunner's phone calls. Fears that the reboot might trigger old habits, such as exhausting working hours and unsatisfying pay. Still, Murphy is not ready to let the idea go and will try to make amends within the willing cast members to get the reboot going.
