According to Deadline, Warner Bros. and DC Comics are developing a new TV series focused on Poison Ivy. The showrunner and executive producer of The Penguin, Lauren LeFranc, is in negotiations to join the project as a producer. However, she is not expected to write the script for the show, and no screenwriter has been hired yet.

The project's development was paused due to the merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. If approved, the series will air on HBO and will not be part of Matt Reeves' Batman universe, starring Robert Pattinson.

In the comics, Poison Ivy is the identity of Dr. Pamela Isley, a scientist who gained the ability to control plants and use pheromones to manipulate anyone. Created by Carmine Infantino and Robert Kanigher, the character is known as Batman's "Floral Femme Fatale" .

Over the years, the character gained increasing notoriety, and even had a relationship with Harley Quinn in the comics, making the pair one of the most celebrated couples in recent media history.

No actress has yet been cast for the lead role. The character has previously been portrayed by Uma Thurman in film, by Lake Bell in the animated series Harley Quinn, and by names such as Bridget Regan, Peyton List, Clare Foley, and Maggie Geha in other DC live-action productions.
