'Grown Ups 3' Gets Its First Photo with Adam Sandler and the Entire Cast Reunited

Netflix released an image this Thursday (06), showing the cast of Grown Ups 3, and announcing that the film is already in production for the streaming service.

The sequel brings back the franchise veterans: Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade and Rob Schneider. Filming is set to take place in New Jersey, Boston, France, and Italy, with production expected to wrap up in mid-October.

Kyle Newacheck signed on to direct the film after working with Sandler on projects like Happy Gilmore 2, one of last year's biggest streaming releases. The screenplay was co-written by the actor in partnership with Tim Herlihy.

The Grown Ups franchise revolves around a group of childhood friends who reunite in adulthood during summer vacation. The third film will follow Lenny (Sandler), Marcus (David Spade), Rob (Rob Schneider), Kurt (Chris Rock), Eric (Kevin James), and their partners after the death of a close friend. They travel across Europe to scatter his ashes and prove they still know how to have fun, even after turning sixty.

Directed by Dennis Dugan, the first two Grown Ups films were released in theaters by Sony's Columbia Pictures. The first, released in 2010, grossed around $272 million worldwide, while 2013's Grown Ups 2 earned about $247 million.
