Take-Two "Moving Quickly" With 'GTA 6' Leaks Investigation

Take-Two is sparing no effort to uncover the source of the Grand Theft Auto VI leaks. Rockstar’s parent company has subpoenaed Discord to hand over information about certain servers and users in an attempt to find out who is behind the Cyberleek group, which gained notoriety for showing numerous gameplay scenes from the game.

The disclosed data will be kept confidential. According to Take-Two, making it public could compromise the investigation. The company also said the case is "moving quickly," indicating that it is close to finding those responsible.

The story of GTA VI takes place in an open world based on Florida, in the United States. Its setting is Vice City, a fictional version of Miami that debuted in the first GTA and later got its own game with 2002’s GTA Vice City.

GTA VI arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not yet been announced.
