'Sterling Point' Renewed for a Second Season

Prime Video has renewed Sterling Point for a second season. The eight-episode series premiered on August 5 and quickly became one of the platform’s most-watched titles. The renewal marks the service’s third straight success with projects in the genre, following the renewals of Off Campus and After That Year.
The series, created by Megan Park, follows Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), a young woman raised in New York who inherits an island in Canada after the death of her mysterious grandfather.
There, she discovers new friends, romance, and family secrets. The cast includes Amélie Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn Toye, Bo Bragason, Mabel Strachan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Missi Pyle, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers.
In a statement, Park said the team is excited to explore the characters more deeply in the second season. Showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage also celebrated the renewal.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Fake Empire, and LuckyChap.
