Shortly after deciding the future of Reacher, which was renewed for a sixth season even before the premiere of the fifth season, Prime Video has now renewed Neagley, a spin-off series focused on the private detective played by Maria Sten.
The first season of Neagley premiered in September, on the same day as the season four finale of Reacher, with all episodes released at once. The result was a tremendous success: it was the fourth biggest premiere of a series on Prime Video.
According to Amazon, the series garnered 40 million viewers in the 13 days since its release on September 16th. However, the problem is that Amazon doesn't explain how it calculates this audience figure.
Regardless, the result pleased the streaming service, which has already ordered a second season. Neagley 's success was largely international: more than half of its audience came from outside the US.
In the series, we follow the cases of Neagley (Sten), a character who was Jack Reacher's (Alan Ritchson) colleague in the army and now works as a private investigator.
All episodes of Reacher and Neagley are available on Prime Video.
