Asa Germann Will Play Angel in Marvel’s 'X-Men' Reboot
Actor is one more name being considered for the future of the Marvel Universe
Actor Asa Germann will play Angel in the MCU’s X-Men reboot. Best known for his role in Gen-V — a The Boys spinoff — he now has a new mutant to portray. The news comes from THR.
In addition to his work as Sam in Gen-V, he also played Lucas Bowden in the seventh film in the Scream franchise. Now, his role in the MCU will be Warren Worthington III, a mutant gifted with feathered wings who lives between the opulence afforded by his family’s fortune and his parents’ prejudice against mutants.
From a more geeky look at his powers, Angel has fully feathered wings with a 4.8-meter wingspan and a highly flexible skeletal structure. He can fly by flapping his wings, reaching an average cruising speed of around 110 km/h. He can hit speeds of up to 240 km/h without a tailwind for up to half an hour and dive at up to 290 km/h.
Although he usually flies below cloud level, at 1,980 meters, Angel can reach an altitude of 3,048 meters with little effort and can attain the highest altitude ever recorded for a bird in flight (8,848 meters) with great effort. His wings are strong enough to carry at least 90 kg in addition to his own body weight.
Other confirmed cast members include Kit Connor as Cyclops, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost..
