Warner/Paramount Merger Company, Skydance Reveals Its Leadership
Casey Bloys will head HBO Max, Paramount+, and Pluto, while James Gunn and Peter Safran remain at the helm of DC Studios.
Skydance has revealed the leadership structure of the new company resulting from the merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. The company will be led by David Ellison as president and CEO, and Ynon Kreiz, former head of Mattel, as co-CEO.
The new team brings together executives from both companies and places well-known names from HBO, Paramount, DC Studios, CBS, and CNN in strategic positions.

Among the main positions announced are:
- Casey Bloys will be responsible for Skydance's streaming businesses, including HBO Max, Paramount+, and Pluto;
- James Gunn and Peter Safran remain as co-presidents of DC Studios, responsible for DC's film and television division;
- George Cheeks will head the television division, overseeing linear channels and TV studios;
- Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein will be the co-chairmen of Skydance Motion Picture Group, overseeing its film business;
- JB Perrette will have leadership roles in both the television and streaming divisions of the company;
- Mark Thompson will continue as president and editor-in-chief of CNN Worldwide;
- Bari Weiss remains as editor-in-chief of CBS News.
The new company will be officially formed this Tuesday (6), when Paramount completes the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The result will be one of the largest entertainment conglomerates in Hollywood, bringing together brands such as Warner Bros., HBO, DC, Paramount, CBS, Paramount+ and Pluto.
Skydance expects to integrate its streaming businesses, strengthen content production, and reorganize its television portfolio. With this acquisition, the company will be able to compete globally with giants like Disney and Netflix.
