Warner/Paramount Merger: Company to be Named Skydance Media
The company resulting from the merger will adopt the name of the Paramount CEO's production company.
Paramount has named the company resulting from its merger with Warner Bros. Skydance Media.
The name of David Ellison's film production company will be the name given to the new conglomerate, which will bring together two of the biggest Hollywood studios. The announcement was made by Ellison himself this Friday (2). A promotional video of the merger was also released;. watch it above.

The completion of the $111 billion deal is scheduled for next week, on October 6th, after a judge approved the agreement reached between Paramount and the attorneys general of 12 states that were trying to block the operation.
The new company will bring together the streaming services HBO Max and Paramount+, as well as brands and channels such as CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon. The group will also be responsible for franchises such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, the DC Universe, Yellowstone, Mission: Impossible, and Top Gun.

According to Ellison, the choice of Skydance aims to create a unique identity for the company without erasing the traditional brands of Paramount and Warner Bros. He will assume the role of president and CEO, while Ynon Kreiz, former CEO of Mattel, will be the co-CEO and will be responsible for operations and business integration after the merger is completed.
