'Verity' Adaptation with Anne Hathaway Gets Poster and a Trailer Release Date
After the success of The Housemaid, Verity emerges as the next adaptation for fans of psychological thrillers

Sony has released a new poster for Verity, the latest film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover bestseller. The movie stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett.
It was also announced that a new trailer will be released this Tuesday, the 11th.

Verity follows writer Lowen Ashleigh, who is hired to finish the book series of Verity Crawford, a famous author left incapacitated after an accident. After moving into the family’s home, Lowen finds the writer’s secret autobiography, filled with disturbing revelations, while growing closer to Jeremy, Verity’s husband.
Hoover is one of the best-selling authors working today. Her other bestsellers include It Starts with Us (the sequel to It Ends with Us), Ugly Love, November 9, Reminders of Him, Confess, Heart Bones, and Too Late. The success of It Ends with Us, in fact, even sparked a bidding war over the adaptation rights to her works.
The film, directed by Michael Showalter, opens in theaters on October 2, 2026.
