In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Wagner Moura spoke about what it was like working with Panos Cosmatos and Kristen Stewart on Flesh of the Gods.
"Amazing. It was really cool. Panos Cosmatos is amazing. Kristen Stewart is amazing. It was a fantastic experience, honestly. I really loved it. It's going to be a very unique film. Panos is a very, very unique artist," Moura explained. "His aesthetic is very distinctive. He creates a world all his own, and it's interesting to see a director like that. When you watch a Wes Anderson or Tarantino film, it's the same thing: he has that signature style that's unique."
Initially announced in 2024, Flesh of the Gods follows Raoul (Moura) and Alex (Stewart), a couple in glamorous 1980s Los Angeles who, every night, leave their luxurious high-rise apartment and head into an electrifying nightlife world.
When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless One and her group of party girls, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous and surreal world of hedonism, thrills, and violence.
The screenplay is by Andrew Kevin Walker, writer of Se7en.
