What Could the Plot for Season 2 of 'Agent Kim Reactived' Be About?

One of the most-watched k-dramas of 2026, Agent Kim Reactivated has been confirmed for a second season. The next episodes, however, still don't have a release date: the project is in its early stages, according to the production company.

In the meantime, the webtoon the k-drama is based on can already help us figure out what the second season of Agent Kim might cover in relation to the original source material. 

What could the second season of Agent Kim Reactivated be about?

The end of the first season of Agent Kim Reactivated left the protagonist bound by a deal with Lee Dong-kyu that effectively ties him to the Baekho Employment Agency. In the original webtoon, the agency is merely a front for Baekho HRM, a private security company that hires mercenaries for high-risk missions.

The confrontation between Kim and Tom Lee in the series’ final scene is nothing more than a test. In the original material, Lee approves of Kim’s performance and hires him as a Senior Manager, beginning a new phase in which he works as a private mercenary, taking on missions involving criminal organizations and dangerous operations. His two old friends continue to show up to support him, just as they did in the first season.

Meanwhile, Min-ji moves on with her life. After seeing her father turn into a killing machine to rescue her, she becomes the element that keeps Kim connected to his life as a father. Working for Baekho HRM is what he does to make money and protect her. In the webtoon, any threat to his daughter is immediately eliminated by Kim and his allies.

The cast of Agent Kim: Reactivated is led by So Ji-sub (Mercy for None) as the title character. Also in the cast are Choi Dae-hoon (When Life Gives You Tangerines), Yoon Kyung-ho (Vincenzo) and Naeun (Apink, Dinner Mate).
