Secret 'Halo: Campaign Evolved' Suggests 'Halo 2' Re-Release, Players Say

The game Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of the first Halo, originally released in 2001 for Xbox, and will officially launch on July 28.

According to players who have already had the chance to try the game in early access, a secret ending points to the rerelease of Halo 2. That’s because if the player finishes the campaign on Legendary mode, the highest difficulty, they are rewarded with a scene of Sergeant Johnson looking directly at the camera and saying, "See you in the sequel." Halo Campaign Evolved will also feature three brand-new missions that tell events leading up to the main story, and it also brings new tools for players, such as sprinting, along with a wider variety of weapons than in the original. Watch the trailer:

It’s worth noting that the game will also be available on PlayStation 5, marking the first time Master Chief appears on a Sony console. Halo Campaign Evolved will also support cross-play between platforms.
