'Tomb Raider: Catalyst' Delayed to 2028; 'Legacy of Atlantis' Also Postponed

Tomb Raider: Catalyst, Lara Croft's new adventure, won't arrive until 2028. The delay announcement was quite low-key: it came in an interview with Jeffrey Gattis, head of Amazon Game Studios, published by The Game Business, which also covers several other topics.

Originally slated for 2027, Catalyst will be the second new Lara Croft game under Amazon's stewardship. During The Game Awards 2025, it was announced alongside Legacy of Atlantis, a full remake of the first game in the series; that title was likewise planned for 2026, but will now only arrive on February 12, 2027.

During the interview, Gattis didn't say much about either title, only mentioning that he's excited about both, and adding that there are other big-budget titles in various stages of "discussion" at the moment.

For now, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is slated for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
