'Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' Reveals Opening Scene and New Mutant at SDCC
New characters will arrive via DLC throughout the title’s first season.

During the San Diego Comic-Con 2026 panel, Arc System revealed the opening cinematic for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and the characters arriving soon via DLC. Check out both announcements below:
In addition to the initial character roster, the studio also revealed that Cyclops will be in the game—specifically the version capable of wielding the Phoenix Force, a form made famous during the Avengers vs. X-Men crossover.

Regarding the cinematic opening, sung by Keiko Terada of the band SHOW-YA and mayu of the band NEMOPHILIA, the song is titled "Stronger as One" and features the cast of characters preparing for battle against the Champion of the Universe. The Champion decides to make Earth his next target and issues the "Champion's Challenge," forcing teams to compete against one another for the right to challenge him and prevent the planet's destruction.
Sony recently faced issues with the game after confirming that a PlayStation Network account is required to purchase the title on Steam, which sparked outrage among many players. Unfortunately, the problem appears set to continue.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls arrives on August 6 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
