God of War Laufey Actress Broke a Cue While Filming The Last of Us
An iconic item met a sad end during the game's production.

Filming for God of War Laufey brought a sad end to an iconic item in PlayStation gaming history. During one scene, Deborah Ann Woll broke the golf club used in one of the most important scenes in The Last of Us: Part 2.
In a story shared during San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), the actress — who plays the protagonist of the upcoming God of War — revealed that, at one point, they needed an object to film a scene in which she was chopping down a tree. The choice was none other than the club, which snapped from the "axe blows," prompting cheers from the crew on set.

Those who have already played The Last of Us: Part 2 or watched the second season of the HBO series will certainly remember how the golf club was used: it was Abby’s weapon to murder Joel, one of the franchise’s protagonists. The scene is traumatic and unexpected, and it has remained unforgettable since the game’s release in 2020.
The object’s journey will soon come to an end: God of War Laufey is set to launch on February 16, 2027, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
