The Walking Dead: Dead City Gets Bizarre Scene at SDCC; Check It Out

The Walking Dead: Dead City showed an exclusive new scene during the franchise panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, held today (24). Omelete was at the event and describes the bizarre sequence below:

Negan is talking to Dillard, a new character played by Jimmi Simpson!

They’re talking in a bar owned by Dillard, and he tells Negan how he managed to survive alone all these years. He then takes Negan on a little tour of his “hotel.”

He opens the first room, which he calls the “worm room.” Inside, there are two dumpsters full of zombie bodies being consumed by maggots.

In the next room, we have the “Frog” room, where frogs feed on the larvae transferred from the previous room.

In the third room, we find the “Turkey” room, where a few turkeys feed on the frogs so they can, most likely, be eaten by humans later.

The scene ends with Negan laughing at all of it.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is the spin-off of the main series centered on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Once mortal enemies, the two now find themselves brought together by fate in this new chapter of AMC’s apocalyptic story.

The cast also includes Jimmi Simpson (Westworld), Kim Coates, Gaius Charles, Mahina Napoleon, Zeljko Ivanek, Jonathan Higginbotham, Trey Santiago-Hudson and Charlie Solis.

The first two seasons of The Walking Dead: Dead City are available in Brazil on Prime Video. The cable channel AMC Brasil will air the third season, which is already airing in the U.S., starting in October.
