Jason Sudeikis Wants 'Ted Lasso' Season 4 to Kick Off a New Arc for Richmond
Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein are optimistic that audiences will respond well to the future season of Ted Lasso.
Apple TV has recently unveiled the official full trailer for the fourth season of Ted Lasso, hit sports show centered around Jason Sudeikis as a soccer coach. While the last season attempted to close the training arc for his character, the future episodes will show Ted back at it again, this time leading a different team—and Sudeikis is nowhere near wanting to end things for the Kansas coach.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sudeikis explained that he intends for the next season to start a new three-season arc, similar to what happened with Lasso's run with AFC Richmond for the first three seasons. A fifth season still isn't approved, but THR reported that Sudeikis is counting on the audience's approval to reunite the writing staff as soon as the first reactions hit.
“I know I needed this, I needed it as much as other people do", the actor said. Brett Goldstein, who plays beloved Roy Kent on the show, is as hopeful as Sudeikis is: "I think it has some of that season one magic", he stated.
