Fan-Favorite 'The Pitt' Actress to Star in Queer Drama 'Unrequited'

Actress Shabana Azeez, known for playing Dr. Victoria Javadi in The Pitt, has been cast to star in Unrequited, a new independent queer romance that will mark Lynn Q. Yu's feature directorial debut.

Based on an original screenplay by the filmmaker herself, the movie follows Trish and Anjali (Azeez), former college roommates and ex-girlfriends. When Trish learns that Anjali plans to leave the United States and return to India, she arranges one last trip through California to explore the local cuisine and try to convince her to stay in the country.

Filming is scheduled to begin in California in the spring of 2027.
