Emmy 2026: Marvel, Star Wars, and The Traitors Win Technical Awards

Even before the 2026 Emmy Awards ceremony, scheduled for September, the Television Academy announced the winners of the jury-assessed categories in Animation, Costume Design, and Innovation in Emerging Media Programming.

Among the highlights are The Masked Singer and The Traitors, honored for their costumes, as well as Eyes of Wakanda and Star Wars: Visions, recognized for individual achievements in animation.

Unlike the traditional categories, the jury-assessed competitions do not have nominees. The entries are evaluated by a panel of professionals from the respective fields, which may choose one or more winners — or decide not to award the prize at all. The ceremony for these categories will take place on September 5 and 6, while the main Emmy ceremony will be held on September 14.
