Ellen Pompeo Will Play a Doctor Again—But Not in 'Grey's Anatomy'

Ellen Pompeo will return to playing a medical professional. Known worldwide as Dr. Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, the actress will star in Not a Sound, a new drama developed by David E. Kelley, creator of Big Little Lies. The information comes from Deadline. 

In the story, Pompeo will play Amelia Winn, an ER nurse who loses her hearing after being hit by a car. When she finds the murdered body of a former colleague, she becomes involved in an investigation that may reveal the truth behind the accident that changed her life.

The series will be produced by 20th Television for Hulu and does not yet have a premiere date.
