Erin Foster, creator of the Netflix comedy series Nobody Wants This, commented on Adam Brody 's statements in support of Palestine. The actor plays Noah, a Jewish rabbi who stars in the series alongside Joanne (Kristen Bell). In an interview on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, Foster stated that, although she disagrees with her colleague's opinions, she respects his right to think differently. "You know, it's complicated. Although I love Adam, I also disagree with him. And that's okay," she declared.
The creator also emphasized that the series was conceived as a tribute to Judaism and highlighted the importance of positively representing the Jewish community. "I want our Jewish fans to know that I see them, hear them, and understand how they feel," she stated. According to Foster, the work environment allows for debates and disagreements, just as it happens in families and among friends.
It's worth remembering that last month, in an interview with GQ , Brody stated that he considered the situation in Palestine "a genocide" and advocated for a free Palestine. "It's terrible that there has been so much death and suffering, but it seems we're reaching a breaking point that should have happened a long time ago. I hope that another government can actually do something good and correct some of these policies that are contributing to the situation being as terrible as it is," he said.
The third season of Nobody Wants This premiered on Netflix on Thursday (22), and Foster also makes a special appearance in the new episodes.
