Glee's return as a reboot has already triggered some unusual reactions from original cast members. Becca Tobin, who played Kitty Wilde in the last three seasons of the series, told podcast LadyGang that the news gave her "diarrhea".

“It’s a situation where I’m not an original cast member. I was not in season 1. I came in three seasons in. So, there’s no guarantee", she said, responding whether she would come back for more episodes.

"There’s no guarantee for anyone, anything, anywhere ever, right? But it’s the type of thing where you just sit, and you wait, and you’re like, ‘Okay, is he going to decide to invite, ask, whatever?’ It’s such a weird feeling.” Although Tobin isn't sure about reprising her mean girl character, others have joined in in enthusiasm to get back into that choir room.

According to Variety, a close source to Lea Michele has confirmed that "she's in". "It’s still early-ish days, but it feels good and we’re happy to get the band back together", said another anonymous source contacted by the report. Heather Morris, Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jane Lynch and more actors have reacted positively to the reboot.

Ryan Murphy had previously revealed that conversations with some original cast members had already started, but no names were put on the table. "I have been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. [...] They all had a lot of questions, but they were all very enthusiastic about the idea", said Murphy during the premiere for American Horror Story season 13.

It's no secret that the backstage for the popular musical show had its issues, with ongoing complaints about Murphy's directing style and strained relationships due to an alleged favoritism towards Michele, a common fear that is apparently present again between discussions into coming back to a revival.

Everything you need to know about the Glee

Glee premiered in 2009 on Fox and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The series followed the experiences of the glee club at the fictional William McKinley High School in Ohio, and tackled themes such as identity, diversity, bullying, and acceptance through versions of major hit songs.

Across six seasons and more than 120 episodes, airing through 2015, the production launched dozens of actors, including Lea Michele, Darren Criss, and Chris Colfer. The series earned six Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes, in addition to breaking an Elvis Presley record by landing 113 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, the series is ready to make his triumphal return.

Although no additional information regarding cast, plot or other details have been released yet, Murphy and other cast members have been dropping hints for the last two months.
