Peter Krause Reacts to '9-1-1' Theory That Says Bobby Nash is Alive

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Krause reacted humorously to 9-1-1 fan theories insisting his character, Bobby Nash, is still alive. The fire captain died last season in a contaminated biological lab, but some viewers don't accept the ending.

The most popular theory is that Bobby survived and is being kept in a government lab, far from his family. The main argument is that the series never showed the body being removed from the infected area. As TV fans well know, without a body, there's always the possibility of a surprise return.

When THR presented the theory that "Bobby is still alive somewhere," Krause simply shrugged. "He might be! We don't know. I don't know. I can't talk about it." Asked if the vague answer would only fuel more speculation, he threw his head back and laughed. "Well, who knows?"

The actor admitted that, considering the history of 9-1-1, the idea isn't so absurd. Last season, the series sent a firefighter into space, and teasers for the tenth season suggest a volcanic eruption in downtown Los Angeles. "It would be within the language of the show for Bobby Nash to come to with amnesia and for Athena to have to make him remember who he is," said Krause. "In a show where anything can happen, I think that's part of the fun."
