Netflix has renewed The Beast in Me for a second season, according to Variety. Claire Danes will return as Aggie Wiggs and will also continue as an executive producer. The series was originally announced as a miniseries, but the success of the first season convinced Netflix to develop new episodes.
Howard Gordon, showrunner of the first season, will remain involved in the production and will share showrunner duties with Daniel Pearle. Gordon has also signed an overall television deal with Netflix to develop new series.

The first season reached the top spot on the platform's global Top 10 in its debut week and remained among the most-watched titles for five weeks, accumulating over 43 million views in seven weeks.
The production also stood out at the 2026 Emmy Awards: Matthew Rhys won Best Actor in a Limited Series or Anthology , while the series took home the award for Best Music Composition for a Limited Series, Anthology, Movie or Special.
