Where and how can I buy tickets?

Ticket sales begin this Monday (8) at 7 p.m., exclusively through the Ticketmaster Brasil website.

Anyone interested can already visit the site to complete registration in advance and avoid unnecessary hassle.

It’s also worth logging on a little early to try to secure a good spot in the virtual queue and reduce the risk of missing out on tickets for your preferred day.

What are the ticket prices?

The General Admission (GA) ticket costs R$ 870 full price, R$ 435 half-price, and R$ 739.50 for Itaú customers, with no service fee charged.

For the 2026 edition, there is a new ticket category: the Comfort Zone. Priced at R$ 1,950 (full price), R$ 975 (half-price), and R$ 1,657.50 for Itaú customers, ticket holders will stay in the regular GA area but will have access to an exclusive section on the side of the World Stage, featuring dedicated bars and restrooms. In other words, they will have considerably shorter lines.

Payment may be made by credit card or PIX. Each customer may purchase up to 4 tickets per day, with only one half-price ticket allowed. The exception is for customers with disabilities, who may purchase two half-price tickets per day (one for themselves and one for a companion).

 Itaú customers receive a 15% discount off the full-price ticket and may pay in up to 8 interest-free installments, while customers of other banks may pay in only up to 6 interest-free installments.

When does the festival take place?

Rock in Rio 2026 takes place on September 4, 5, 6, 7, and 11, 12, and 13, 2026, at Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park. September 7, in particular, is a strong contender to sell out first—not only because it falls on a Monday during a holiday long weekend, but also because it features some of the biggest acts of this edition.

Day 4 (Friday):

The biggest name on September 4 is Foo Fighters, who will close out the World Stage. But there are other attractions as well, such as Capital Inicial featuring Dado Villa-Lobos and Detonautas featuring Biquíni. Check it out:

Day 5 (Saturday):

The World Stage on the 5th is packed with attractions, featuring Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, Machine Gun Kelly, and Sepultura.

Day 6 (Sunday):

The lineup for the 6th is also packed with very exciting national and international acts. With a strong 2000s retro vibe, it features names like Black Eyed Peas, Calvin Harris, Xamã and a reunion of the original Barão Vermelho lineup.

Day 7 (Monday):

Independence Day will be celebrated with an attraction many Brazilian fans had already accepted they would never see here again: Elton John. The legendary British artist had retired from major international tours in 2023 to focus on his health and enjoy time with his family, but he made an exception for RIR 2026. Alongside him, icons such as Gilberto Gil, Belo, Péricles, and Fatboy Slim will light up the Rio night across different stages.

Day 11 (Friday):

September 11 marks K-Pop’s debut at Rock in Rio, with names like Stray Kids and Nexz, as well as icons from other genres, such as Jamiroquai, MC Carol and many more.

Day 12 (Saturday):

Saturday (12) has a more pop vibe and will feature the festival’s biggest name of the 21st century, Maroon 5, as the headliner. Names like Demi Lovato, J-Balvin, João Gomes and Mumford & Sons are also part of the lineup.

Day 13 (Sunday):

With the 2026 lineup now complete, Rock in Rio will have a very eclectic Sunday, featuring Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, Joelma, Ivete Sangalo, and much more.

How do I get there?

Rock In Rio 2026 will take place at the same venue as the last four editions: Barra Olympic Park.

For those coming from Rio’s South Zone, the best way to get there is by taking the subway to Jardim Oceânico station and then the BRT Express, which goes directly to Terminal Olímpico station. From there, it’s a short walk to the festival entrance.

The main way to access the venue is via the BRT, since the surrounding streets will be closed to private cars. Those coming from the North, West, and Southwest Zones should look for lines that stop at Terminal Olímpico or Pedro Corrêa station.

There is also the option to purchase Rock In Rio Primeira Classe, which consists of private buses departing from prearranged locations at scheduled times and dropping attendees off inside Cidade do Rock. There are departures from several points in Rio de Janeiro and even from other cities.

Shows and food

This year’s edition brings something new for fans of Rock in Rio’s special shows. Described as “a 360º immersive sensory experience taking place daily at Cidade do Rock, combining dance, technology, light, and sound in sessions for up to 1,000 people,” the ECCO by LightWire show is making its RIR debut and offers a journey inspired by the sounds of the forest, blending computer graphics, synchronized choreography, high-tech costumes with LED and optical fiber, an original soundtrack, and effects such as scents, wind, and holography, creating a multisensory experience.

The aerial show The Flight, featuring planes performing synchronized aerial acrobatics to a special soundtrack and the launch of 756 fireworks, is also confirmed to take place daily at the festival.

Gourmet Square

For dining, in addition to food trucks and snack and drink stands, there will be the Gourmet Square, an enclosed, air-conditioned space with restaurants selected by chef Pedro Siqueira, recognized among the 100 best pizza chefs in the world by The Best Pizza Awards 2025.
