'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Is The Third Film to Ever Surpass $2.5 Billion

Last Sunday (4) proved to be a special date for Marvel. In addition to Avengers: Endgame regaining the title of highest grossing film of all time, Spider-Man: Brand New Day became the third film in history to surpass the $2.5 billion mark.
The film starring Tom Holland is only behind Avengers: Endgame and James Cameron 's Avatar (2009).

In addition to Tom Holland returning as the protagonist, Jacob Batalon will once again play Ned, and Zendaya returns for the new Spider-Man film as MJ. New additions to the cast include Sadie Sink (Stranger Things).
Another confirmed cast member is Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, marking the hero's debut in Marvel films. In addition, Mark Ruffalo is in the film as the Hulk.
Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing the project. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who wrote the screenplay for Spider-Man: No Way Home, are also responsible for the film.
