Samara Weaving Joins Jennifer Anniston in Olivia Wilde's 'Naughty'

According to exclusive information from The Hollywood Reporter, Samara Weaving has joined the cast of Naughty, a Christmas comedy directed by Olivia Wilde for Universal Pictures.

The actress joins a cast that already includes Jennifer Aniston, Peter Dinklage, Chase Sui Wonders, Regina Hall, and Ike Barinholtz. The film marks Wilde's next directorial effort after... The Invitation , a relationship comedy released by A24 this summer.

The plot follows a mother, played by Aniston, whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her manipulative ex-husband is to find Santa Claus, played by Dinklage, and convince him to testify at the divorce hearing. The project has been described by sources as "Bridesmaids in the North Pole." Wonders and Hall play the protagonist's best friends, while Barinholtz plays the ex-husband. Weaving will play his mistress.

The production is by LuckyChap, the production company of Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara. Wilde and Warden are also credited as producers, while Jimmy Warden signs the screenplay.

Universal has set the film's premiere for November 5, 2027.
