Lucas Guadagnino's Artificial released its first trailer this Tuesday (8). The feature stars Andrew Garfield as OpenAI's controversial CEO Sam Altman on the verge of the company's 2023 crisis.

Written by Simon Rich, the film also features Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, and Mark Rylance as Geoffrey Hinton. Artificial was dropped by Amazon MGM Studios in June—when it was virtually complete—shortly after the company announced a $50 billion partnership with OpenAI. After other distributors passed on the film, NEON acquired the rights.
Artificial hits theaters December 25.
