The Japanese film Godzilla Minus Zero, a sequel to Godzilla Minus One (2023), will have its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 26. The highly anticipated follow-up directed by Takashi Yamazaki will be screened during the Spotlight Gala at Alice Tully Hall, with the filmmaker as well as cast and crew members confirmed to attend. The feature also makes history as the first Japanese production filmed entirely in IMAX.

Set in 1949, two years after the events of the previous film, Minus Zero once again follows the Shikishima family as they face a new calamity. According to the official synopsis, Godzilla is even more powerful and, this time, has New York in his sights for destruction.
