Actor Sebastian Stan apparently revealed by accident that he plays Harvey Dent in Batman 2, the sequel directed by Matt Reeves. The information came during an interview with the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, while the star was commenting on his performance in Avengers: Doctor Doom and the award-winning Fjord.
When asked about Batman, Stan said: “I also can’t say anything about Matt Reeves’ Batman: Part II, where I play Harvey Dent”. The character is one of Batman’s best-known villains: originally a district attorney allied with Bruce Wayne, Dent becomes the criminal Two-Face after half of his face is disfigured. It is still unknown how the character will be introduced in the sequel.
The statement also draws attention because the studio had been keeping details about the film’s cast and plot under wraps. So far, it has not been revealed whether Harvey Dent will already appear as Two-Face or whether his transformation will be part of the story in Batman 2.
Everything you need to know about The Batman: Part II with Robert Pattinson
While the DCU will have its own Batman through the film The Brave and the Bold, which will adapt Bruce Wayne’s stories with Damian Wayne, his son, as Robin, Matt Reeves continues developing his standalone Dark Knight saga, which is part of what James Gunn, CEO of DC Studios, has called the Elseworlds label. This label is given to stories that are not part of the universe launched by the new Superman movie.
The first Batman starring Robert Pattinson hit theaters in 2022 and grossed close to $772 million.
Dubbed the Batman Crime Saga, this narrative casts Robert Pattinson as a young Bruce Wayne in his early years as the Dark Knight. Zoë Kravitz is Catwoman, Colin Farrell is the Penguin, Paul Dano played the villain Riddler, and John Turturro is Carmine Falcone. Jeffrey Wright was the new Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis played Alfred.
