BLACKPINK's Jisoo Will Be Featured in 'Angry Birds 3' Soundtrack

Sonic the Hedgehog isn't the only one to join the Angry Birds universe. South Korean artist Jisoo, from the K-pop girl group Blackpink, will have a song on the soundtrack of the animated film Angry Birds 3 , according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The song "Sun Showers" was co-written by the singer and is expected to be used in the film. For the artist, the collaboration is a very important moment in her career.

“I’m so happy to be part of The Angry Birds Movie 3,” she said. “I’ve always loved how the films bring together such colorful characters, humor and heart. With ‘Sun Showers,’ I wanted to capture the movie’s playful and bright energy through a fun, feel-good song that makes people want to smile and dance along.”

Angry Birds 3 will feature the return of Jason Sudeikis, Rachel Bloom, Josh Gad, and Danny McBride, who will now also star Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, and Tim Robinson. Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson, and Psalm West round out the cast.

Sony Pictures distributed the first two films, and the third will be handled by Paramount. Released in 2016, Angry Birds Movie grossed US$352 million worldwide, while Angry Birds Movie 2 only made US$147.8 million. Announcing the Paramount news, Rovio and SEGA noted that the film franchise has grossed over US$500 million at the global box office and has been a success on streaming platforms worldwide, signaling strong demand for a third installment.

Angry Birds 3 premieres in theaters on December 23, 2026.
