10 Things I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You/Netfglix.

When it comes to coming-of-age, 10 Things I Hate About You is definitely worth the praise it gets. With a more serious approach to how teen love feels while simultaneously navigating who you are, the remarkable film directed by Gil Junger and led by Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles can still teach a lesson on how to develop a good strangers to lovers.

Send Help

Sam Raimi returning to the genre that made him famous should already be reason enough for you to watch Send Help, available through the Hulu bundle. On top of that, the film is also an incredibly fun survival horror set on an island where Rachel McAdams's character crash-lands with her boss, played in a deliciously Machiavellian way by Dylen O'Brien. Packed with action, comedy, and plenty of gore, this is a movie you need to discover — or revisit!

Fresh

Fresh is one of those movies you barely see coming, and it ends up being a huge surprise. This thriller-horror that is avaible through the Hulu bundle starts out like a romantic comedy, then quickly turns into a nightmare involving cannibalism and obsession. Sebstian Stan—perhaps the actor who has chosen his projects outside of Marvel best in recent years—is simply spectacular, and his pairing with Grace Edgar-Jones makes everything even better. Saying more than that could spoil the story’s surprises, but get your stomach ready. Hannibal Lecter would be proud of this dinner.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is the sequel for the well-received Ready or Not, which helped launch star Samara Weaving as a new face for horror fans. With the addition of Kathryn Newton to the main cast, the sequel is a fun continuation that shows what has been going on in Grace's life after she escaped the deadly household of her late-husband.

Thunderbolts*

Thunderbolts* is, for many, the best Marvel Studios movie in years. The chemistry among the leads, handpicked to make up this team of rogue heroes replacing the Avengers, works in a way rarely seen before in the MCU and feels like a breath of fresh air for audiences who had been growing weary of the genre. Beyond the action scenes already familiar to this kind of movie, Thunderbolts* adds drama and comedy to a mix that stays satisfying from beginning to end.

West Side Story

West Side Story/Disney

If you're looking for something romantic, the West Side Story remake directed by Steven Spielberg is always a good call. The movie that marked the cinematic debut of star Rachel Zegler as lead attempts to give new light to the classic musical, and it does a good job at it. The beloved Anita, now in the hands of Ariana DeBose, also stands out in a movie that is as close to musical theater as it gets.

Avatar: Fire and Ash

Avatar: Fire and Ash is the latest entry on the grand Avatar adaptations directed by James Cameron. Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) are trying to move on with their lifes while Pandora sees danger as a new Na'vi tribe appears. With fantastic visuals and a very immersive atmosphere, the movie is a good call for family nights.

Hoppers

While the highly anticipated Toy Story 5 hasn’t made it to streaming yet, a great pick is the other Pixar release of 2026, already available on Disney+: Hoppers. The story follows Mabel, a young woman whose mind is transferred into a robot beaver so she can save the animals from a construction project threatening their habitat. Frenetic, very funny, and carrying that heartfelt message the studio always likes to deliver, the film is a delightful surprise.

Predator: Badlands

The film, available through the Hulu bundle, stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, cast out from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning), a Weyland-Yutani synthetic (the company from the Alien films), and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and produced by John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O'Connor. In addition to this film, Trachtenberg, who directed a period story centered on a Native American woman fighting the Predator in Prey in 2022, also released the animated film Predator: Killer of Killers, both also on Disney+.

Ratatouille

Ratatouille

One of Pixar's masterpieces, the story places the most hated creature in the world of cooking as the possible best chef in France: a rat. Remy is passionate about the art of cooking and finds in the clumsy, yet human, Linguine his chance to enter the world of gastronomy. Directed by Brad Bird, the mastermind behind some of the studio's best animations, the film takes viewers on a journey through the restaurant kitchen and the streets of Paris, delivering what Pixar has always done best: combining fun with a meaningful message. In this case, it's about acceptance and the idea that “anyone can cook.” Fantastic.
