'Made in Abyss: The Awakening Mystery' Gets Brand-New Trailer

The film Made in Abyss: The Awakening Mystery (Mezameru Shinpi in the original), the first chapter of the trilogy that will continue the anime, has received a new trailer. The preview features never-before-seen scenes from Riko's journey through the Abyss, reveals the theme song "Chain of the Abyss," composed by Kevin Penkin with vocals by Mori Calliope, and confirms its release in Japanese theaters on October 23.

Based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi, the franchise follows the orphan Riko and the robot Reg on a dangerous journey through the depths of the Abyss. Within it lie endless mysteries and dangers that draw in explorers.
