'Kaiju No.8' Spinoff 'Narumi's Week at Work' Gets Trailer and Release Date

Kaiju No. 8 will expand its universe before the anime’s final chapter. The franchise released a new trailer for Narumi's Week at Work, a spin-off series focused on Captain Gen Narumi, and confirmed its premiere for September 5. The short anime will have four episodes, released weekly on TOHO Animation’s YouTube channel and on Crunchyroll.

The production will show a more laid-back side of the character, following his routine over the course of a work week. The anime’s main staff is returning for the project, with direction by Shigeyuki Miya and animation by Production I.G.

Meanwhile, the Final Chapter of Kaiju No. 8, which will adapt the final arc of Naoya Matsumoto’s manga, is still in production, but its format and release date have not yet been announced.
