'The Apothecary Diaries' Feature Film Gets Trailer With New Characters

The first film in the Apothecary Diaries series has received a new trailer featuring characters from the Bi clan. Titled The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Lady's Treasure the film is directed by Norihiro Naganuma and will feature an original story written by Hyuganatsu  the author of the original work. It is scheduled to premiere on December 11th in Japanese theaters.

In the plot, Maomao and Jinshi travel to the homeland of a concubine who died five years earlier, after receiving the mission to return her remains. The investigation leads the duo to a city surrounded by mysteries, pirates, and a hidden treasure.

In addition to the feature film and the anime, which is currently on its third season, the franchise will also get a live-action series on Prime Video and a new video game.
