The official Dan Da Dan account released a new image to celebrate the arrival of autumn, showing Momo and other characters enjoying a night in the season. The artwork serves as a way to ease the fans' longing while they wait for the third season.
The series, based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, was one of the biggest hits on Shueisha's Jump+ app, and gained even more popularity with the first two seasons of the anime. The third season is in production at Science SARU and is scheduled to premiere in 2027, but without a confirmed date or window yet.
The gap between the second and third seasons is longer than the one between the first two. The wait is made even more difficult because the second season ended on a considerable cliffhanger. Okarun and Momo faced a giant alien kaiju in the final episodes, and the closing moments showed a mysterious girl emerging from inside the creature and embracing Okarun.
It is expected that Shueisha will reveal news about the third season during Jump Festa 2027, scheduled for December 19th and 20th in Japan.
