During 'ARIRANG' Tour, 'BTS' V Reveals 70% Hearing Loss in One Ear

Singer V, a member of BTS, revealed during a fan livestream [via BBC] that he has lost up to 70% of the hearing in his right ear.

"If the hearing in my left ear is at 100, for example, then my right is at 30", he shared. The artist said the issue began even before his military service (between 2023 and 2025), but it has worsened over the years. 

V admitted that he did not take the issue seriously at first, believing it was "a matter of mental fortitude". More recently, however, he has been treating the condition with regular hospital visits and medication.

During part of the livestream, V was joined by fellow group member JungKook, who also opened up about a shin fracture that has been bothering him during BTS's tour.

"I'm about to develop something more serious," the singer commented, then reassuring fans by saying that he is managing the fracture with the help of a doctor.

Both artists' confessions come amid the ARIRANG WORLD TOUR, which began in April, shortly after the release of the album ARIRANG.
