After finally revealing the name of The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda also commented on when we can expect to see news about Sentinel, the next adventure in the franchise, and the news isn't good.

In its announcement commemorating the company's 40th anniversary, the studio revealed that "development continues, and while it’ll be some time before we’re ready to share more, it feels great to finally reveal the name and location with you", the statement said.

In case you didn't know, the Elder Scrolls franchise games are named after the region where the adventure takes place, and this time, the title will be set in Sentinel, the modern capital of Hammerfell, showing that the game will take place in this region, which is close to Cyrodiil and Skyrim.

Therefore, it's quite likely that the game will focus more on the capital, but it should take place throughout the Hammerfell region. However, it's still impossible to know for sure, as there's no release date yet for when we'll see more of the game.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel was first revealed in 2018, and since then, only the title's name has been released by Bethesda, showing that the game is still a long way from being released.

Meanwhile, the studio also released Starfield in 2023, and since TESVI was in pre-production when it was announced, it's very likely that development of the game effectively began after the completion of Starfield.

Until then, we can only wait to find out when Todd Howard will give us news about the next adventure in the studio's flagship RPG.
