Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two (parent company of Rockstar), is feeling very confident about the debut of the next GTA 6 trailer on Netflix. On August 27, the streaming platform will have six hours of exclusivity for an "extended look" at the game, and Zelnick is certain the numbers will be great.

"I'm sure you're going to watch it because everyone is”, he said in an interview with IGN.

"And I think this is an example of Rockstar trying new things and marketing the title and I hope there's much more to come", he added.

Of course, despite Zelnick's confidence, the announcement has split opinions: even though GTA 6 is indisputably the biggest release of 2026 and of the past few years in gaming, making its most important trailer available to a limited audience sparked some complaints on social media.

Scheduled for November 19, GTA 6 will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Everything you need to know about GTA 6

Once again developed by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto 6 is the first GTA in thirteen years, following the astronomical success of GTA 5, released in 2013. The franchise is one of the most successful in video game history.

The story of GTA 6 takes place in an open world based on Florida, in the U.S. Its setting is Vice City, a fictional version of Miami that debuted in the first GTA and later got its own game with 2002's GTA Vice City.

GTA 6 will have two protagonists, Lucia and Jason. A couple with a criminal past, the two are a kind of modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, venturing into Vice City's criminal underworld.

GTA 6 arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not yet been announced.
