Adidas and Pokémon have announced a special sneaker collection to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, with a release scheduled for September 2026. In total, there are 12 models inspired by iconic Pokémon, available globally on adidas’ website and through select retailers.
The lineup features special versions of classic and contemporary adidas silhouettes. The Superstar II comes in three variations: one with a fuzzy yellow upper mimicking Pikachu’s fur, another with an all-over graphic print of the character, and a third in cream and orange tones inspired by Charmander.
The Superstar II "Charmeleon" features a scarlet-red upper with the Three Stripes shaped like claws, while the Superstar Vintage "Charizard" includes removable orange scale wings emerging from the laces.
The Samba OG "Mewtwo" stands out with triangular eyelets that reference the Pokémon’s three fingers, while the ZX 8000 "Mewtwo" comes in lavender and violet tones, with molded TPU ears and a Master Ball dubrae. The Megaride F50 "Rayquaza" features a scaly upper with bright yellow details.
Gengar’s evolutionary line is also represented: the Adistar XLG 2.0 "Gengar" has the character’s red eyes on the sides, the Adistar Control 5 "Haunter" features dark tones and striking overlays, and the Adistar Control 5 "Gastly" rounds out the trio with its signature palette.
In addition to the models mentioned, the collection also includes the Pro Model "Pikachu" with a character charm on the heel and the Handball Spezial "Mewtwo", with a closure inspired by the legendary Pokémon’s neck.
The official release date will be announced in the coming weeks.
