The company still doesn’t want to celebrate too soon.

The success of GTA 6 even in pre-orders was already extremely predictable — and was even confirmed by analysis firms, with historic milestones. Now, Take-Two itself, owner of Rockstar, has confirmed that the levels reached are astronomical.
"I can say that the level of pre-orders is unprecedented and astonishing, and we are very grateful for that," said CEO Strauss Zelnick.
The numbers, however, are so different from the norm that Rockstar doesn’t know exactly what to expect when the game finally hits stores:
"They are so unprecedented that we just don't know how this will translate into sales. We genuinely don’t, and we just don’t believe in claiming victory before it occurs," he added.
Despite Zelnick’s little bit of drama, it’s practically impossible that GTA 6 won’t become one of the biggest launches in gaming history — and, given some time, one of the best-selling games of all time, just like GTA 5. The answers will start coming on November 19, when the title will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
