'Dungeons & Dragons' to Collaborate with 'Star Wars' in 2027
Tabletop RPG is going to have a collaboration with Star Wars, likely bringing Disney’s universe into the TTRPG.

During Gen Con, Wizards of the Coast announced that the 2027 season of Dungeons & Dragons, called Season of Rebellion, will be a collaboration with Star Wars. Details are scarce – only a brief mention and a teaser were presented during the event.
Wizards of the Coast already published official Star Wars games in the early 2000s for the d20 system. The license later moved to Fantasy Flight Games, which produced a series of tabletop RPG products for several years, until it was transferred to its sister company, Edge Studios, which has done very little with the franchise recently.

The head of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise at Wizards of the Coast, Dan Ayoub, stated:
"With Universes Beyond we are expanding Dungeons & Dragons into even more worlds we love, like World of Warcraft. At the same time, we are revisiting core D&D settings, including Dark Sun, Dragonlance, and Greyhawk. What’s more, in a crossover that fans have dreamed about for years, Star Wars is coming to D&D for the first time, bringing the iconic galaxy to our players’ tabletops. Our wide range of announcements show that we are committed to delivering more choices, and more ways for friends and family to adventure together."
It is very likely that the collaboration will bring additional content to Dungeons & Dragons rather than a standalone system for the Star Wars universe.
