New 'Among Us' Game Gets Trailer And a 2027 Release Date

Innersloth has officially announced that Among Us Story: On Guard It will be released on February 17, 2027. The announcement was made during the Triple-i Initiative presentation this Thursday (8), confirming versions for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, iOS and Android.

The title represents a shift in focus for the series, offering a single-player experience grounded in solving mysteries rather than traditional multiplayer matches.

In the storyline, the player takes on the role of the Guard , a security guard tasked with protecting a spaceship in the MIRA Research & Development training simulator . The story unfolds when a murder occurs on board and the protagonist is unjustly accused of the crime. To avoid being ejected through the airlock and find the real culprit, it is necessary to investigate the environments and interact with a crew of original characters.

The gameplay utilizes the so-called MIRA Method to guide progress. The mechanics require the player to find clues, identify the impostor among the crew, collect rewards from their investigations, and complete mandatory ship maintenance tasks. The choices made during interrogations and evidence gathering lead to three different endings, encouraging various runs.

In addition to solving the main crime, the game retains the franchise's classic task system. Activities such as swiping the magnetic card or making coffee are still present, but now serve as tools to extract information from other crew members or unlock new areas of the ship.

Among Us Story: On Guard arrives on February 17, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, iOS, and Android.
