The Morning Show, Apple TV's drama series, was renewed for a fifth season last year — and it has now been confirmed that it will be the series' final season, with a premiere slated for 2027. The information was confirmed by Variety.

The series' main cast includes Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass and Jon Hamm.

The fifth season will continue the events of the fourth year, which ended with Witherspoon's character, Bradley, detained in Belarus and the revelation of a cover-up scheme involving a UBN executive.

Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt teased that the new batch of episodes will explore the relationship between Bradley and Crudup's character, Cory. "Are Bradley and Cory soulmates? Are they mirrors of each other, and do they share similar pathologies?" Stoudt told The Hollywood Reporter about the fourth-season finale.

It's worth noting that The Morning Show was one of Apple TV's first original productions and, since its debut, has established itself as one of the streamer's most prestigious series at major awards shows. So far, it has racked up 28 Emmy nominations and four wins, including two awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Crudup. The production was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, while Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were recognized for their performances.
